From Simple Tile Upgrades to Complete Layout Overhauls

A bad layout ruins your morning routine. Whether you live in an uptown shotgun house with a narrow bath or a suburban home in Metairie that needs updating, we handle the job from teardown to final trim. That means pulling permits, rerouting copper and PVC lines, floating walls level, setting tile right, and making sure the room drains and ventilates like it should. We focus on sturdy construction built for local humidity.

Why Fixing Up an Old Bath Makes Sense

Updating your primary or guest bathroom pays off every single day. Swapping out aging plumbing cuts down on slow leaks hiding behind the drywall. Good exhaust fans pull out damp air before it rots your trim. Fresh tile, quartz countertops, and custom cabinets give you a clean, functional room that is easy to keep clean. Plus, fixing underlying structural issues protects your home's value if you ever decide to sell.

11 Years Working on Crescent City Homes

Since 2013, CMC's Contracting has built a reputation on solid work, straight talk, and keeping job sites clean. We know what usually sits behind old walls around here - crooked studs, outdated wiring, and years of hidden water damage.

11 Years of Field Experience

We know how to repair rotted floor joists, level out sloped subfloors, and update old plumbing without wasting time.

Built for South Louisiana

High humidity destroys cheap materials. We use waterproof backer boards, heavy-duty membranes, and quality tile mortars made to hold up.

No Cut Corners

Walls are framed square, tile lines stay straight, and waterproofing gets tested before tile goes down.

Straightforward Communication

You will know who is working in your house, what happens next, and when the job will wrap up.

How the Project Goes

A smooth job starts with careful planning. Here is how we take your space from demolition to a finished room.

We visit your home, check the current plumbing and wiring setups, measure the footprint, and talk through what you want to change.

You choose your tile, vanity, faucets, and light fixtures. We make sure the dimensions work on paper before ordering supplies.

We strip the old room, repair any hidden rot, run new pipes and wiring, seal the shower with waterproof membranes, and set tile. We clean up the work area daily.

We walk the finished room with you, check every silicone seal, test fixture pressure, and clear out every scrap of trash.

Questions Homeowners Ask Us

How long does a typical renovation take?

Most full jobs take between two to four weeks once demolition starts. If we need to move main stack pipes, repair badly damaged joists, or work around old plaster in historic properties, it can add extra time. We give you a realistic schedule before starting so you know what to expect.

How do estimates and pricing work?

We come out to inspect the space in person. After measuring and evaluating the plumbing and electrical, we send over a written breakdown covering labor, materials, permits, and scope. You will not get hit with surprise fees halfway through construction.

What kind of tile, vanities, and fixtures can I pick?

You can choose porcelain, ceramic, natural stone, quartz, solid wood vanities, or frameless glass doors. We help steer you toward materials built to withstand moisture so your grout stays clean and your cabinets do not warp.

What happens if something needs adjusting after you finish?

We back up our work. When we wrap up, we explain how to care for your new grout and fixtures. If a valve needs adjustment or a seam needs attention after you start using the space, give us a call and we will come take care of it.

What neighborhoods do you cover?

We work across the metro area, including Uptown, Mid-City, Lakeview, Algiers, the Garden District, Metairie, and Kenner.

How do you handle old plaster walls and unlevel floors in historic houses?

Historic houses are rarely square. We remove damaged plaster or drywall, sister new lumber onto old floor joists to level things out, and replace outdated galvanized lines with modern PEX and PVC before laying tile.

How do you keep mold and humidity from ruining the new work?

We install full waterproofing barriers behind all shower walls and under floor tile before setting anything. We also set up heavy-duty exhaust fans vented to the outside to clear out steamy air quickly.

Do you back up your work with a warranty?

Yes. We cover our labor and installation work with a clear written warranty, alongside manufacturer warranties on valves, tile, and fixtures. If an installation issue pops up, we make it right.
